School Neutrality & Non-Recruitment Policy
Dykal Next Level Sports Academy (DNLSA) is committed to providing athletic development opportunities in a manner that maintains clear separation between academy participation and interscholastic school athletics. This policy establishes DNLSA’s commitment to school neutrality and prohibits the use of academy programs, relationships, communications, or benefits to recruit or influence athletes to attend or transfer to any particular school for athletic purposes.
School Neutrality & Non-Recruitment Policy
Dykal Next Level Sports Academy is an independent athletic development organization. DNLSA is not affiliated with, sponsored by, endorsed by, or operated by Palmetto Ridge High School, Collier County Public Schools, or any other school or school district. DNLSA coaches may separately hold coaching or professional positions with scholastic athletic programs. Any such affiliations identified on DNLSA materials are provided solely as professional background and experience.
Equal Access & School Neutrality
DNLSA welcomes athletes from all schools, school districts, private schools, charter schools, home education programs, and other eligible educational settings. Academy services, training opportunities, pricing, communication, evaluations, and program participation will be administered without preference based on an athlete’s current or prospective school affiliation.
Participation in DNLSA does not influence, guarantee, or provide preference for admission, enrollment, team selection, roster placement, playing time, or athletic participation at Palmetto Ridge High School or any other school. Likewise, an athlete’s decision not to participate in DNLSA will not affect opportunities within any scholastic athletic program.
Prohibition on Recruiting
DNLSA coaches, staff, volunteers, representatives, and individuals acting on behalf of the academy may not use DNLSA programs, training sessions, communications, relationships, benefits, discounts, evaluations, roster opportunities, or other academy activities to encourage, pressure, urge, or entice an athlete to enroll in or transfer to a particular school for the purpose of interscholastic athletic participation.
DNLSA training and athlete-development activities must remain separate from school enrollment and transfer decisions. Academy personnel may not represent or imply that attending a particular school will provide an athlete with preferential treatment, improved athletic opportunities, roster placement, playing time, or other athletic benefits.
Coaches With Scholastic Affiliations
DNLSA recognizes that academy coaches and staff may also serve as coaches, educators, healthcare professionals, or employees within school systems or scholastic athletic programs.
These roles must remain separate. A DNLSA coach’s school affiliation may be identified as part of the coach’s professional background and experience; however, that affiliation may not be used to recruit athletes, promote enrollment or transfer to the coach’s school, or suggest that participation in DNLSA creates an advantage within that school’s athletic program.
When interacting with DNLSA athletes and families, coaches must communicate and act in their capacity as DNLSA representatives unless the circumstances clearly relate to their separate scholastic responsibilities.
Athlete and Family Communications
DNLSA communications with athletes and families will focus on athlete development, academy programs, scheduling, training, competition opportunities, performance feedback, administrative matters, and other legitimate DNLSA activities.
DNLSA personnel will not use direct conversations, email, text messaging, social media, digital platforms, parents, athletes, teammates, or other intermediaries to encourage an athlete to attend or transfer to a particular school for athletic purposes.
Questions regarding school enrollment, transfers, or interscholastic athletic eligibility should be directed to the appropriate school administration and/or governing athletic association.
Marketing, Social Media & Public Representation
DNLSA marketing materials, websites, social media accounts, advertisements, promotional activities, and public communications will represent DNLSA as an independent athletic development organization.
References to a coach’s scholastic coaching position, championships, licenses, education, or other professional accomplishments may be used to accurately describe professional experience and qualifications. Such references must not imply school sponsorship of DNLSA, preferential access to a school athletic program, or an opportunity for athletes to improve their chances of joining a particular school team through DNLSA participation.
Athlete Participation & Registration Acknowledgment
Participation in DNLSA is voluntary and independent of participation in any scholastic athletic program.
As part of registration, parents, guardians, and/or athletes may be required to acknowledge DNLSA’s independent status and understand that academy participation does not influence school enrollment, athletic eligibility, team selection, roster placement, playing time, or other school athletic opportunities.
DNLSA reserves the right to take appropriate action when conduct involving an athlete, family member, coach, staff member, or representative conflicts with this policy or threatens the academy’s commitment to school neutrality.
Policy Administration & Questions
DNLSA leadership is responsible for maintaining and enforcing this policy and for educating coaches, staff, and other representatives regarding school neutrality and appropriate communications with athletes and families.
This policy may be reviewed and updated as necessary to remain consistent with applicable athletic association rules, school district requirements, and DNLSA operating practices.
